Team

The Hinkelmann/Hütter/Baumann team shares a passion for historic motorsport. All three are particularly fond of Volvo vehicles. Gerd Hinkelmann, Head of Motorsport and Project Manager at HEICO Motor Sport (Wiesbaden), was commissioned by Volvo Germany 25 years ago to build the 850 Turbo vehicles for racing.

Bernd Hütter, former Head of Sport at Renault Germany, began building a Volvo Amazon P 122 S for use in historic races together with Helmut Baumann in 1996. The car is still used successfully today in sprint and endurance races.

The drivers of the Volvo racing cars are amateur drivers who have been active in historic and modern motorsport for decades. All drivers are united by motorsport and a long friendship.
